Summers in all-star game

UNLV tailback Frank Summers will play in the Texas vs. The Nation all-star football game on Jan. 31 at El Paso, Texas.

Oddly, he will play for the Texas team, but Summers could expand his professional prospects because he will play fullback and on special teams in addition to tailback.

Summers rushed for 740 yards last season after gaining 928 the year before. He rushed for 14 touchdowns and caught six TD passes in his two-year Rebels career.

He is the first Rebel to be chosen for a post-season all-star game so far.
