SDSU’s Wade facing felony charges

San Diego State star forward Lorrenzo Wade was arrested on Sept. 21 for first-degree burglary of an occupied residence, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The senior from Cheyenne High School and a co-defendant were arraigned on Tuesday and are free on bail.
Steve Fisher, head coach of the Aztecs, announced Wednesday that Wade would be suspended indefinitely from the team for "violations of team policy."
The San Diego State athletic department released a statement saying Wade has not participated in any team activities the past two weeks and will not practice or participate in team workouts.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and will withhold final judgment until all of the facts are gathered," Fisher said in the statement.
Wade, who also Tuesday was named to the preseason All-Mountain West Conference first team, was the team’s leading scorer at 14.8 points per game last season.
