UNLV hockey to honor assistant coach injured in Sunday’s mass shooting

UNLV hockey assistant coach Nick Robone, who was shot Sunday during the mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, will be honored by the club prior to Friday’s game at City National Arena.
Robone underwent surgery Monday to remove a bullet from his chest and remains hospitalized. He posted on his Twitter account Tuesday that he is expected to make a full recovery.

The ceremony for Robone starts at 7 p.m. and will include a moment of silence for the 58 people killed when a gunman opened fire on concertgoers from his room at Mandalay Bay.
The team also will be accepting donations to the GoFundMe account set up to assist the Robone family with medical costs.
The Rebels host Utah at 7:30 p.m. in an American Collegiate Hockey Association game.
