Rebels land two players on All-MWC volleyball squad

The UNLV volleyball team placed two players on the All-Mountain West Conference team. Setter Kinsey Caldwell made the unit and was also named MWC Freshman of the Year on Tuesday, and junior middle blocker Madeline Westman was an all-MWC choice for the second straight year.

Caldwell led the Rebels in assists (1,116), aces (24) and double-doubles (14), while starting all 29 matches and playing in all 108 sets. She amassed at least 22 assists in each match and topped out with a season-best 60 against Wyoming on Oct. 11. She also contributed 87 kills and 290 digs.

Westman led UNLV with 137 blocks (19 solo, 118 assisted) and was second in kills with 288. She had 14 double-digit kill matches, including a career-high 21 against Boise State.

Caldwell and Westman helped the Rebels (18-11, 10-6 MWC) to a third-place finish in the conference.
