Cal State Fullerton halts Rebels’ baseball winning streak

Coby Kauhaahaa had two hits and four RBIs to fuel a balanced and potent offense for Cal State Fullerton in the Titans’ 12-4 rout of UNLV in a nonconference baseball game Friday in Fullerton, California.
Seven Fullerton players had multiple hits, and four drove in multiple runs as the Titans (23-13) won their fifth straight game and 11th in the past 13.
Tanner Pinkston went 4-for-4 and scored three runs, and Timmy Richards and Tristan Hildebrandt each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Fullerton, which held a 17-12 edge in hits.
Titans starter Connor Seabold (5-2) gave up three runs on eight hits and one walk and struck out 11 in six innings.
Andrew Yazdanbakhsh went 3-for-3 with a double, Cooper Esmay went 2-for-3, and Justin Jones hit a two-run homer for the Rebels (16-21), who had their four-game win streak halted.
