Locals sign on with Rebels

Two locals have signed letters of intent with UNLV — defensive back Sidney Hodge (5 feet 8 inches, 160 pounds) of Palo Verde High School and wide receiver Marcus Sullivan (5-9, 160) of Cheyenne High.

Hodge said he expects to grayshirt but probably will take 11 credits in the fall as a part-time student before going on scholarship in January. He is Rivals.com two-star recruit.

"It’s cool to get it done," Hodge said. "A big relief."

Sulllivan is rated by Scout.com and Rivals as a two-star prospect. He was the Sunset Region Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 1,643 yards and 20 touchdowns.
