Linebackers commit to UNLV

Linebackers Kyle Anderson of Silverado High School and Perry Cooper of The Woodlands (Texas) High School committed to UNLV’s football team today.
Both are Rivals.com two-star recruits. Anderson (6 feet 2 inches, 230 pounds) made 82 tackles, including six sacks, last season. Northern Arizona and Weber State also offered him a scholarship.
"It’s definitely one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made in my life," Anderson said. "There were a lot of good things about all three schools. I like UNLV a lot. I met the coaching staff. They were all great. They’re excited about their job opportunity and turning the program around. I think they are going to do that."
Anderson won’t immediately join the Rebels, however. He said he would begin a two-year Mormon mission in October, and then enroll in January 2013. University at Buffalo had offered Cooper (6-3, 220) a scholarship.
