Fan behavior

Brigham Young fans are never again allowed to complain about how Rebel fans act in the Thomas & Mack Center.

The game has not even started tonight and enough obnoxious outbursts have already occurred to get the fans here even for whatever they perceive happened at the end of UNLV’s thumping of the Cougars in the Mountain West Conference championship game last season.

Let’s get it straight, there is absolutely nothing wrong with how the BYU fans are behaving. It is actually how fans are supposed to behave.

But, it’s the exact same way UNLV fans act.

GOOD EATS: Should you ever find yourself in Provo, keep the University Mall near the top of your must-visit list.

The reason it gets earns such high acclaim has nothing to do with the stores. The complex features the same Aeropostale and Lids store that you’ll find at any local mall and America.

What sets this place apart is the best food court you will ever find.

The choices are extremely varied. There is a Japanese Grill and a Chinese restaurant. There is also a Subway, Taco Bell and an Arby’s.

Though it’s a food court standard, there is a requisite Orange Julius, a must for any credible facility.

But the crown jewel is the Chick-fil-A. The place is as good as it gets when it comes to fast food. Nothing even compares to the product Chick-fil-A puts out on a daily basis.

The Review-Journal’s UNLV basketball beat writer Matt Youmans is in full agreement. We have already made it over there twice today, but he aspires to much more.

The McDonald’s near campus is still selling the McRib, another of his favorites. Down the street, there is a Taco Time. While I’ve neither eaten at the place or even heard of it, Mr. Youmans swears they have both the best hot sauce and best beef taco around.

He says that he hopes to get both a McRib and Taco Time beef taco before the end of the day.

He even referred to it as the “fast-food cycle.”

Expanding on the baseball reference, he said that if there was something called “Steak and Shake” here, a grand slam could be achieved.

He really is the Freud of Deep Fryers.
