Bell follows in brothers’ footsteps

The Bell legacy continues at UNLV, with Santa Ana (Calif.) College defensive end B.J. Bell committing to play football for the Rebels.

"I wanted to stay close to home, and it’s a plus to have my immediate family out here (in California) and my extended family in Vegas," Bell said. "I felt it was the best fit."

He follows brothers Beau and Zach, former UNLV linebackers. B.J. Bell (6 feet 4 inches, 245 pounds) is a Rivals.com three-star prospect who also is rated as the nation’s No. 45 junior college prospect. Kansas, San Diego State, Marshall and Akron also offered him scholarships. Over 10 games this past season, Bell made 23 tackles for loss, including nine sacks.
