UNLV men win ninth conference swimming title in 10 years

UNLV won the Western Athletic Conference men’s swimming and diving championships on Saturday at San Antonio. The Rebels finished with 545 points in the four-day meet, with Wyoming second with 506 and Air Force third with 470.
The conference title was the ninth in the past 10 years for UNLV, which posted top-three finishes in every event. The Rebels got first-place finishers Saturday from Tom Paco-Pedroni in the 100 freestyle (42.84) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Samuel Lameynardie, Paco-Pedroni, Giacomo Gremizzi and Dillon Virva, which set a WAC record with a time of 2:52.86.
