Titans player reportedly charged with felony assault

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter reportedly was charged Monday with felonious assault.

Hunter surrendered to police in Virginia Beach, Va., after a warrant was filed, according to News Channel 5. He was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

Hunter is accused of "malicious intent, stabbing, cutting and wounding" in a brawl that hospitalized one person in Virginia Beach on July 3.

The Titans said they were "aware of the situation and are continuing to gather more facts."

Hunter, 24, was Tennessee‘s second-round pick in 2013. He has caught 46 passes for 852 yards and seven touchdowns. He missed the final four games last season after suffering a lacerated spleen against the Houston Texans.
