Suspended UCLA player won’t face felony charges for robbery arrest

Suspended UCLA cornerback Ishmael Adams won’t face felony charges in connection with his arrest for robbery, according to published reports.

Adams, a junior, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday when it is expected that misdemeanor charges will be filed. He was arrested in late August on suspicion of felony robbery when it was alleged he stole a cell phone from an Uber driver.

UCLA indefinitely suspended Adams after the arrest.

Adams was a first-team All-Pacific-12 selection after last season and had a team-high four interceptions in 2013.
