Sundevils stand tall, edge No. 1 Pioneers

Mitrell Clark’s basket with eight seconds remaining gave the Eldorado boys a 73-71 home victory over top-ranked Canyon Springs on Tuesday.

Charlie White then stole the inbounds pass to seal the win for the Sundevils.

Marcus Moreland led the Sundevils with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Deremy Geiger scored 24 to lead the Pioneers.

• Centennial 52, Shadow Ridge 50 — At Shadow Ridge, Matt Holley scored 14 points to carry the Bulldogs, who made 9 of 14 3-point shots.

Ray Singletary led Shadow Ridge with 12 points.

• Cheyenne 77, Cimarron-Memorial 75 — At Cheyenne, Demetric Williams’ basket in the final 15 seconds broke a 75-75 tie.

Cheyenne trailed 75-72 after Brayden Quackenbush’s 3-pointer with less than a minute left. Elijah Johnson responded with a tying 3-pointer.

Williams led Cheyenne with 21 points. Mike Cutright scored 25 for the Spartans.

• Silverado 65, Tech 48 — At Tech, Isaiah Simmons had 23 points and James Lata 21 to propel the Skyhawks past the Roadrunners. Ben Seibert led Tech with 13 points.

• Green Valley 67, Basic 56 — At Basic, Josh McCarver scored 20 points to help the Gators, who built a 31-15 halftime lead. Shane Allison led Basic with 17 points.

• Palo Verde 74, Arbor View 59 — At Arbor View, David Rawlinson scored 23 points, and Moses Morgan scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half to spark the Panthers.

Palo Verde hit 15 of 19 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Darington Banks and Pierson Heath each scored 14 points for Arbor View.

• Foothill 79, Coronado 57 — At Coronado, Ben Green scored nine of his game-high 18 points in the second quarter to lift the Falcons.

Tommy Tebbs led Coronado with 13 points.

• Mojave 60, Legacy 45 — At Legacy, Darian Norris, Anthony Marshall and Kevin James each scored 14 points to lead the Rattlers, who rushed to a 30-12 halftime lead.

Walter Chappell led Legacy with 16 points.

• Liberty 92, Del Sol 68 — At Del Sol, Milos Knezevic scored 25 points to lead the Patriots.

Anthony Martinez led the Dragons with 22 points.

• Moapa Valley 57, Dixie (Utah) 50 — At St. George, Utah, Shilo Sandoval scored 16 points, and Shaun Hilton contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pirates.

• Lake Mead 73, North Broward Prep (Fla.) 66 — At Henderson International, Landon Littlefield made all 16 of his free throws and scored 28 points to lead the Eagles in the Rock Holiday Classic.

• College Du Leman (Geneva, Switzerland) 67, Henderson International 40 — At Henderson International, Du Leman bolted to a 24-3 first-quarter lead.

Brian Chausmer led International with 11 points.

• Lexington (Ky.) Catholic 92, The Meadows 32 — At Henderson International, Lexington Catholic gained a 48-15 halftime lead and won easily.

Jon Chino led The Meadows with 21 points.

• Boyd Anderson (Fla.) 92, Virgin Valley 27 — At Henderson International, Boyd Anderson led 52-13 at halftime and cruised. Johnny Gleave led Virgin Valley with 14 points.
