THEY JUST DON’T GET IT
Those poor, beautiful creatures from synchronized swimming. Still trying to get us interested. Still hoping we watch. Still saying things like this: “We think it’s cool. We were wishing our costumes had lights on them. But we have to be careful with the impression we give. We are already struggling to convince people synchronized swimming is a serious sport.”
That was U.S. athlete Andrea Nott speaking about her team’s decision to deny the Spanish team’s request to wear lights on their costumes.
No worries, Andrea. We’ll never be convinced.
