Well, that will bring you down to earth fast. Like a base jumper whose chute doesn’t open.
I am trying to determine how UNLV will inform the two finalists who won’t be offered the school’s athletic director job, given the ridiculous manner (e-mail from a search committee chairman) in which others were told Tuesday.
We know the young and energetic senior associate from UCLA isn’t even a finalist. He was the candidate most favored by many on UNLV’s athletic director search committee, which sort of makes you wonder why there was a committee at all.
Thankfully, things might not be as crazy around here as I feared last week.

Jim Rogers has the right idea. If you want to be any good in today’s Bowl Championship Series landscape of college football, you buy the chicken first and then hope it can produce the golden egg.
