To shut up Cuban journalists in the Main Press Center. Within an hour Saturday, their baseball team lost to South Korea in the gold medal game and some taekwondo nut named Angel Matos was banned for life after kicking a referee in the face following his disqualification from a bronze medal match.

Nice guy, Matos. He took longer than the allowable one minute of injury time. Once informed he was disqualified, he pushed and kicked referee Chakir Chelbart of Sweden, spat on the floor and was removed from the site.

And a certain corner of the MCP went quiet for the first time in two weeks.
