BLAZING AWAY

Let’s review: Jamaica has three of the final eight runners in the men’s 100-meter dash and winner Usain Bolt runs a world-record 9.69 seconds while literally jogging the final seven strides.
Then the Jamaican women sweep the 100-meter medals and the winner, Shelly Ann Fraser — who pretty much nobody had heard of 18 months ago — runs a 10.78, the second-best time in Olympic history after not breaking 11 seconds this year.
“The secret of the team’s success,” said Fraser, “is reggae power.”
And here I thought it was the coffee.
