Silverado delivers Tech its first loss

Jessica Schmidt had 21 points and 13 rebounds Tuesday to lead Silverado’s girls to a 47-36 win over previously unbeaten Tech.
Shea Collins scored 16 points for the Skyhawks, who are tied with Green Valley atop the Southeast Division.
Silverado took a 22-12 halftime lead and busted the game open with a 19-8 third-quarter run.
Mechel’la Logan led Tech (8-1) with 19 points.
• Centennial 81, Shadow Ridge 48 — At Shadow Ridge, the Bulldogs outscored the Mustangs 48-18 in the second half to gain the victory.
Alexis Byrd led five Centennial players in double figures with 18 points. Johnna Brown (15 points), Deanna Daniels (15), Dela Jones (12) and Rashawnda Gray (10) also scored in double digits for Centennial.
Cheyana Slocum led Shadow Ridge with 14 points.
• Palo Verde 56, Arbor View 20 — At Arbor View, Mikala Pride scored all 15 of her points in the first half, and the Panthers used a 21-1 run in the second quarter to pull away.
Erika Lang led the Aggies with 15 points.
• Coronado 62, Foothill 53 — At Coronado, Danielle Boyle scored 23 points to lead the Cougars past the Falcons.
Courtney Whitaker scored 10 points and Lindsay Decker grabbed nine rebounds for Coronado. Danielle Wolf led Foothill with 13 points.
• Liberty 60, Del Sol 25 — At Del Sol, Phoebe Baker, Amanda Delgado and Jade Washington each had 12 points to lead the Patriots past the Dragons.
Del Sol’s Thelma Padilla led all scorers with 19 points.
• Eldorado 51, Canyon Springs 50 — At Eldorado, the Sundevils edged the Pioneers despite being outscored 16-4 in the fourth quarter.
Tonisha McGee had 17 points and 15 rebounds and Gianna Lafayette had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Eldorado.
Briony Hinton and Amanda Kilgore each had nine points for Canyon Springs.
• Green Valley 68, Basic 51 — At Basic, Victoria Naylor scored 32 points to lead the Gators past the Wolves.
Jasmine Jarvis scored 13 points for Green Valley, which was 17 of 18 from the free-throw line.
Lauren Johnson scored 16 points and Marquichea Burns 14 for Basic.
• Cimarron-Memorial 37, Cheyenne 31 — At Cheyenne, the Spartans held the Desert Shields to eight total points in the second and third quarters en route to the victory.
Precious Carroll led Cimarron with nine points. Raven Hicks paced Cheyenne with 12 points.
• Mojave 62, Legacy 35 — At Legacy, Chelsea Hopkins scored 28 points, and the Rattlers used a 34-11 run in the second and third quarters to pull away from the Longhorns.
Breana Watkins led Legacy with 13 points.
