Raiders list 11 players on injury report; 6 miss practice Wednesday

Updated October 11, 2017 - 7:08 pm

ALAMEDA, Calif. — Battered and bruised.

The Raiders had good fortune this season keeping a short injury report. But all that changed Wednesday.

Oakland had 11 players on the injury report with six missing practice altogether.

Rookie first-round pick Gareon Conley was out again due to his ongoing shin injury that he suffered in minicamp.

Three players who missed practice suffered injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Ravens.

Linebackers Cory James (knee) and Marquel Lee (ankle) missed practice after being injured against Baltimore.

Cornerback Antonio Hamilton (knee) was the third player on the Raiders defense hurt Sunday. As a response to the injury, the Raiders signed cornerback Demetrius McCray to add depth.

Two starters on offense were out. Tight end Lee Smith was out with a knee injury and fullback Jamize Olawale suffered a concussion.

Despite the injuries, there was a silver lining in the report.

Quarterback Derek Carr practiced in limited action and is expected to start against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday.

Also limited were David Amerson (concussion), Amari Cooper (knee), Gabe Jackson (foot), and DeAndre Washington (hamstring).
