Hines tops Pro Stock Motorcycles

MADISON, Ill. (AP) — Andrew Hines topped the Pro Stock Motorcycle field before rain washed out the first round of Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock qualifying Friday in the O’Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals at Gateway International Raceway.

Hines powered his Harley-Davidson to a 6.920-second run at 189.73 mph. Pro Stock Motorcycle was the only professional category to complete a round of qualifying.
