St. Pierre, Hendricks kick off UFC World Tour at MGM Grand today

The UFC World Tour begins today with a press conference in the lobby of MGM Grand.

Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks, who will fight for St. Pierre’s welterweight title in the main event of UFC 167 on Nov. 16 at the same property, will appear at the noon event, which is free and open to the public.

The tour is a series of promotional events featuring eight fighters in 11 cities over the next six days to promote the four major Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-view cards that will close the year.

Champions Jon Jones, Cain Velasquez and Ronda Rousey will be joined by challengers Alexander Gustafsson, Junior dos Santos and Miesha Tate on the tour. All eight fighters will appear at a public press event at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
