Rousey, Holm have to be separated at UFC 193 weigh-in — VIDEO

MELBOURNE, Australia — All 26 fighters on the UFC 193 card successfully made weight at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, though the event wasn’t free of drama.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was involved in some tense moments just after she stepped on the scale right at the 135-pound limit for her main event title defense against Holly Holm.

Rousey immediately stepped off the scale and intensely walked toward Holm, who had already weighed in and was sipping on a drink to rehydrate.

Holm appeared to be caught off guard and put her hands up contacting Rousey’s forehead.

Brief pushing and shoving ensued, but the fighters were quickly restrained.

“That fake sweet act is over. I see right through it,” Rousey said. “She put her hands on me and now she’s going to get it on (Saturday night).”

Holm still seemed caught off guard.

“I was just taking a drink,” she said.

Rousey offered a parting shot as Holm left the stage.

“You’re not the first person I fought that thought they had the perfect plan to beat me,” Rousey said. “I’m going to show you why I’m the champ.”

The card takes place Sunday afternoon in Australia in order to air in the normal Saturday night time slot in the United States.
