Mitrione shares photo of horrific eye injury

Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight Matt Mitrione had rough night Sunday.

After enduring two eye pokes, the former NFL player suffered a third-round knockout loss to Travis Browne after he was slammed to the ground and punched until the referee stopped the contest.

Mitrione’s shoulder appeared to be injured by the slam.

His eye was grotesque following the UFC Fight Night 81 bout in Boston.

Mitrione felt the need to share a photo of the damage to the eye, which blew up after a punch that followed the two eye pokes, on social media.
