Las Vegan Kevin Lee to face Efrain Escudero in lightweight clash at UFC 197

Las Vegan Kevin Lee will look to bounce back from a December loss when he fights lightweight Efrain Escudero at UFC 197 at MGM Grand on April 23, sources close to the organization confirmed on Thursday.

Lee, 23, had his four-fight winning streak snapped in a surprising first-round knockout loss to Leonardo Santos at UFC 194 on Dec. 12.

Escudero, the winner of Season 8 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” is coming off a decision loss to Leandro Silva in November. The 30-year-old is 2-2 since returning to the UFC in 2014.

UFC 197 is headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between champion Daniel Cormier and former champ Jon Jones. Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will also defend his belt on the card against Henry Cejudo.
