Metta World Peace wants to change name to ‘The Pandas Friend’

Ron Artest, I mean, Metta World Peace, might be changing his name … again.

The former New York Knick, who is currently playing for the Chinese Basketball Association, tweeted last week that he would be changing his name for the season while in China.

“I’m changing my name for the China this season!!!! You guys will love it,” he tweeted on July 31.

After reports that he was changing his name to “Panda Friend” started surfacing, Metta World Peace set the record straight.

“Guys my chinese name is not “Panda Friend”, its “The Pandas Friend,” he tweeted Thursday morning.
