LAS VEGAS SHUTS OUT DESERT PINES IN SOCCER

Las Vegas’ Jaime Toscano scored twice and goalkeeper Blayne Grondel had a shutout as the Wildcats blanked visiting Desert Pines 6-0 Wednesday.
Jose Camacho added a goal and assist for Las Vegas, and Alberto Beltran, Arturo Gallardo and Edward Gomez each scored once.
At Western, Moises Mayorga and Gelmin Molina each scored a goal to lead the Warriors to a 2-1 victory over Spring Valley.
Peter Cospache scored for the Grizzlies.
At Bonanza, Francisco Bautista scored two second-half goals to lead Durango to a 2-1 win over the Bengals.
Sergio Rodriguez scored in the first half for Bonanza.
At Valley, the Vikings broke a 1-1 halftime tie with five second-half goals and beat Canyon Springs, 6-1.
Alan Arce scored twice for Valley, and Joey Lopez added a goal and an assist. Rosendo Borjas had two assists for the Vikings, and Andjelko Markovic, Carlos Flores and Carl Ajuziem each scored once. Isaac Cordero scored the lone goal for the Pioneers.
At Chaparral, goalkeeper Gerado Mendoza earned a shutout, and Miguel Acosta scored in the second half to give Rancho a 1-0 win over the Cowboys.
