Las Vegas native Kris Bryant has made a smooth transition to life in the big leagues, batting .291 with four home runs and a team-leading 24 RBIs through his first 29 games for the Cubs (21-16).
Bryant, 23, also seems to be adjusting well to life in his new sweet home of Chicago. Check out this video in which he talks about his Las Vegas roots, his first encounters with Cubs fans and more in an interview inside his downtown Chicago home, which features spectacular views of the Windy City.
ROOKIE MOVES
Already a Cubs fan favorite, Bryant also appears to be proving popular with his teammates, who pulled a funny prank on the rookie following his first big-league home run, after which he was greeted by an empty dugout.
It’s safe to say Starlin Castro has Bryant’s back. In another comical clip, the Chicago shortstop mimicked Bryant’s throwing motion after the third baseman cut in front of him to field a ground ball during a game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
