INTERNET ONLY: Green Valley defeats basic in volleyball

Green Valley’s Siga Applegate had 10 kills and nine digs, and Jena Chavez tallied 29 assists and two aces to help the Gators beat visiting Basic 25-21, 25-16, 25-13 on Wednesday.

Green Valley’s Sydney Brozovich had 14 kills and three blocks, and Karlee Skalla added 13 digs and two blocks for the Gators.

Giulia Stolworthy and Stephanie Cinkovich each had five kills and nine digs for Basic.

At Liberty, Del Sol’s Kadie Miller had two kills, 18 assists, four digs and four aces as the Dragons defeated the Patriots, 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.

Karie Miller added eight kills and three digs for Del Sol. Malvina Tuoiti led Liberty with four kills, nine digs and five aces.

At Palo Verde, Hanna Korn had 20 assists and six aces, and Jasmin White added eight kills, two aces and three blocks as the Panthers beat Arbor View, 25-5, 25-16, 25-18.

Katrina Marcy added seven kills, three digs and three aces for Palo Verde. Ashley Elliott led the Aggies with 16 digs and four kills.

At Centennial, Lauren Sagers recorded eight kills, 13 assists and six digs to help the Bulldogs beat Shadow Ridge, 25-22, 25-15, 25-22.

Morgan Vieira added 18 assists and four digs, and Johnna Brown had 12 kills, eight digs and two aces for Centennial.

Shadow Ridge’s Kylee Schraft had 12 kills and six digs, and teammate Taylor Warburton added 10 kills.

At Tech, Becca Agae had 21 assists, and Jessica Witt had four aces and three digs as Silverado beat Tech, 25-11, 25-8, 25-13.

Lisa Donnelly had four blocks, and Taylor Richard added nine kills for Silverado.

At Cimarron-Memorial, Jessica White had 15 assists and five aces to lead the Spartans to a 25-9, 25-9, 25-13 win over Cheyenne.

Catherine Wyre added seven kills and eight digs for Cimarron.
