Hot-hitting Abreu sparks 51s’ victory

Tony Abreu had three hits and three runs scored as the 51s beat the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 7-4 on Wednesday in a Pacific Coast League game in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Abreu, who went 5-for-5 on Tuesday, was 3-for-4 and collected hits in eight consecutive at-bats before lining out to right field in the sixth inning. Abreu doubled in the first and fifth, singled in the third and walked in the ninth. He is batting .483.

James Loney drove in three runs for Las Vegas (4-3), which took advantage of four errors and extended its winning streak to four games.
