8 Julio’s Gold – Claimed by Jack Carava last time out; is clearly with her friends tonight.

1 Clearly Confused – John O’Hara horses have run very well so far this meet; back class and the rail to contend with.

Long Shot – 4 Decoy

Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds

1 Moving Seas – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; good speed from the rail.

3 Katy’s Cookin – Also taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; has shown good early lick.

Long Shot – 6 Rushomatic

Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds and up

5 Et Tu Walker – Gets class relief from the grade 3 Eddie D; has won 4-of-8 on turf, figures to be formidable again.

3 Starspangled Heat – Has not one drop of early speed; he does have good late kick and will be flying fast late.

Long Shot – 6 El Mirage King

Race 4 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds

8 Global Hottie – Bob Baffert barn has been laying in the weeds leading up to the Breeders’ Cup; the tote board should be singing.

6 Moscato Girl – FTS from the hot Carla Gaines barn; key vote is she hires Rafael Bejarano to ride.

Long Shot – 1 Curvy Kitten

Race 5 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $51,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

1 Hidethegoodstuff – Close call last time in a dead game effort; if she can move forward one stride, the race is her’s.

6 Madoffwiththemoney – Would rate the favorite higher but made the vet’s list recently; no barn hotter than Peter Miller right now.

Long Shot – 2 Good Party

Race 6 – 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

3 Maxx the Kid – 9 furlongs is a marathon distance nowadays; walked from the gate in last but was blasting home fast.

4 Yes Yes Yes – Tepid chalk in another open affair; Peter Eurton still high from rich graded stakes win at Keeneland last week.

Long Shot – 2 Lethal Story

Race 7 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds

6 Prayer Be Mine – Another good looking FTS from the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; helps to have Rafael Bejarano up too.

9 Another Victoria – She got two races under her belt; should good early speed and figures to be on the Bill Daly.

Long Shot – 4 Magic Spot

Race 8 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), $100,000 Autumn Miss, Fillies, 3-year-olds

10 Wishing Gate – Team of Tom Proctor and Gary Stevens are double tough; must overcome a rough parking lot post.

9 Need You Now – Just to the favorite’s inside is a strong challenger; Julien Leparoux for father in law Mike Mitchell.

Long Shot – 5 Oscar Party

Race 9 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

7 Acute – Cheapest winners on the ground are the finale today; could be a Julien Leparoux-Mike Mitchell late daily double.

3 Unkept Rendez Vous – Victor Garcia puts the blinkers on for this; not sure how much that will help a 5-YO mare.

Long Shot – 12 Lia Juliana

Best Bet – 8 Julio’s Gold (race 1)

Santa Anita Friday – Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 14/6/$30.40; Long Shots, 6/0/$0; Best Bet, 1/1/$2.20
