2 Silver Hustler – Gary Stevens named the Big Sport of Turfdom by the National Turfwriters; he’s had an amazing comeback year.

3 Changethechannel – Speedy sort might just try and wire this field; set a very quick pace, too quick, in last.

Long Shot – 1 Rock and Glory

Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $27,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, 2-year-olds

6 Maximinus – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; huge rider switch to Rafael Bejarano.

1 Closet E – Another taking the class drop down from MSW to a price tag; like the cut back in distance, should finish better.

Long Shot – 9 Ke in Motion

Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, $100,000 Sharp Cat, Fillies, 2-year-olds

2 Georgia – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry that can finish first and second; both were sharp winners last time out.

1 Be Proud – The other Baffert, she took 5 starts to break her maiden; doubt if the uncoupled entrymates will duel early on.

Long Shot – 4 Pleasant Miss

Race 4 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

6 I’ll Wrap It Up – Doug O’Neill makes a big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano for the money shot; blinkers off for this try.

Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

5 Puff Pastry – Has shown some speed down the hill at Santa Anita; drops in class, been ridden every time by Mario Gutierrez.

8 Tizhardtoget – Like horses that won and run a slower Beyer speed figure; must overcome a parking lot post though.

Long Shot – 2 Make More Money

Race 6 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $34,000, Claiming $32,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

5 Lilly’s Perfect – Finished fast after a slow start in first race off the claim by Kristen Mulhall; well spotted again.

3 Perfecta – Richard Mandella drops this filly down the well; Joe Talamo for Mike Smith who is riding at Churchill tonight.

Long Shot – 7 Mia Isabel

Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

11 Pimpernel – FTS from the always hot Bob Baffert barn; the tote board should be singing with Rafael Bejarano up.

1 Anxious Times – Second time out for Paddy Gallagher after an even debut; should improve some in a natural progression.

Long Shot – 3 Big Medicine Man

Race 8 – 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $48,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

4 Golden Production – Claimed off a sharp win by Peter Miller; Ron Ellis nurtuered her return, now he loses her for $40K.

2 Escape Act – Been away 8-months, but showed lots of talent in stakes races; this is a stepping stone prep for Santa Anita.

Long Shot – 3 Our Pure Creation

Race 9 – 7 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

10 Soul Searcher – Ran awful in debut at MSW level; Mike Mitchell drops her to this bottom rung, where she really belongs.
