Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $45,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Ingrid the Gambler – Speedy sort is the only previous turf winner in the field; Talamo may try and pop the gate with her.
Hennessy Rose – Gomez takes over for the money shot; he’d be best suited to take a hold and hope the chalk comes back to him.
Long Shot – Shriek
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
In Daddy’s Honor – Logical chalk did everything but win last time out; moves from parking lot post 14 down to the inside.
Hawaiian Afleet – Took some betting in debut and flashed early speed; has every right to improve and is dropping in class.
Long Shot – Naturally Perfect
Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $15,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
Si Chimi – Mitchell red flag drop is sure to attract a few claim tags; his race two back is fast enough to crush these.
Denied – Mullins rarely makes bad claims so we’ll draw a line thru his last start; has a ton of back class to rebound.
Long Shot – Plan for Fun
Race 4 – 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
Vital Force – Baffert charge showed improvement in last going long; like the turn back in distance where he’ll fire late.
Dr Zaentz – The last time Stein won with a favorite, Elvis was still in the building; this guy is strictly the one to beat.
Long Shot – Dancing Wildfire
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $48,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Zenyatta – Was flattered when Carmel Coffee was a nice MSW winner on Friday; Shirreffs barn has been live with all starters.
Caressive – Broke her MSW nicely in her SoCal debut last time; she is bred to literally be a champion, chance to progress.
Long Shot – Quite a Stormkat
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds
Duradude – Dropping back down from MSW to claiming; class relief moves him forward in a big way, gets hot riding Tyler Baze.
Cee’s the Answer – Like the turn back in distance from a route for this elongated sprint; should be closing the fastest.
Long Shot – Gooch’s Dream
Race 7 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $48,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up
Fast Thought – Frankel is off to a slow start this meet, but 10 seconds hasn’t helped; Bejarano will nurse this speedball.
Chancellor – Beaten favorite returns off a 3-month hiatus; broke his MSW over Hollywood turf, so he may like the stuff.
Long Shot – Repetoire
Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles, $421,500 Hollywood Starlet, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Country Star – Not often a maiden wins a Grade 1 stakes; Frankel puts his horses where they can win, so he was not afraid.
Grace Anatomy – Hated the slop at Monmouth, so draw a line thru the BC race; back with Smith, a good chance at square odds.
Long Shot – The Golden Noodle
Race 9 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Excessive B and B – In a NW2L condition, having the early lead can be the key; Koriner filly will try to wire the field.
Tonnerre – Good race to try to beat the Baffert chalk marooned in the parking lot; beaten chalk last time in this spot.
Long Shot – Wildout
Race 10 – 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Games We Play – This is a choice for forgiving handicappers; dumped her rider after a poor start in last, another chance.
Madame Kiawah – Logical chalk off an improved rally last time out; Gomez and Mullins are a powerful combo in here.
Long Shot – Renees Beauty
Best Bet – Zenyatta (race 5)
Hollywood Friday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/5/$38.20; Long Shots, 8/3/$32.40; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
