Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 – 1 mile, Purse $47,000, Optional claiming $32,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Curiously Sweet – Been away 6-months but showed some talent back then; Gomez is picking up right where he left off, on top.
Ask Sam – Demoralizing loss last time when instead of rebounding, she regressed even more; notice only one workout since.
Long Shot – Beyond the Mark
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $36,000, Claiming $50,000, 3-year-olds and up
Direct Connect – Dead late closer got into trouble in last and still lost less than a length; can win with a clean trip.
Fete – He likes the downhill turf course, a big plus to have on the resume; price will be helped with Agapito riding.
Long Shot – Iza General
Race 3 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, 2-year-olds
Ford Island – Ran better than looked last time chasing a wicked fast early pace; colt will enjoy the enormous class drop.
Sudoku Buddy – Tepid chalk in a race featuring six FTS; claimed by Sadler, he’s exiting a competitive key maiden race.
Long Shot – Unbroken Vow
Race 4 – 1 mile, Purse $13,000, Claiming $10,000, 3-year-olds and up
Common Trust – Tactical speed to sit a good trip facing a nondescript group; he may inherit the lead and hold on late.
Tumbaga – Dead late closer gets blinker on today by Kitchingman; will pick up the pieces and the race falls apart late.
Long Shot – Royal Classic
Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $36,000, Claiming $50,000, 3-year-olds
Our Partner – Positive trainer switch to Mullins; dropping in class and turning back in distance, the Mig can carve a trip.
Lit’sgoodlookngray – Logical chalk now that Gomez is the returning king of the hill; turf debut for Carava off the claim.
Long Shot – Honored Image
Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $43,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Zilla – Typical poor start under Solis destroyed her chances as a heavy favorite; if she breaks OK, her talent can show.
Renegade Ruby – FTS from Canani has showed some quick workouts; watch the tote board for clues, this barn usually gets bet.
Long Shot – Risk Addiction
Race 7 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $47,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds and up
Mr Napper Tandy – Ran well in his U.S. debut when beaten less than 2-lengths; like the rider switch to Gomez for the goods.
Law Breaker – Baffert cull has some speed so expect Espinoza to send with the turf rail out 15 feet; first time for a tag.
Long Shot – Kruger Park
Race 8 – 1 mile, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
James The Third – Won’t be shocked to see Gomez win a bunch today; big class drop and rider switch for the money shot.
Fantastic Meeting – Found the MSW company a step too tough, will enjoy today’s class relief; grinder will try hard late.
Long Shot – Moteado
