Green Valley romps to victory at Del Sol

Nick Melino went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs to lead Green Valley to a 13-7 road victory over Del Sol in high school baseball Wednesday.

Kevin Stetham was 3-for-4 with a double for the Gators, and teammate Jordan Van Hoosier went 2-for-3 with a double. Green Valley led 13-1 entering the bottom of the sixth inning.

Brian Madrid went 3-for-4 with a home run and a double for the Dragons.

Rancho 10, Eldorado 4 — At Rancho, the Rams scored six runs in the seventh inning to beat the Sundevils.

James Cammack went 2-for-4 and scored the go-ahead run on a squeeze bunt by James Crockett to ignite Rancho’s flurry. Teammate Edgar Sifuentes went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Daniel Le Cadalier went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Eldorado.

Basic 3, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Basic’s John Anderson threw a two-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks as the Wolves defeated the Falcons.

Anderson went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and two runs.

Bishop Gorman 8, Spring Valley 4 — At Hadland Park, John Rickard drove in three runs, and Taylor Cole, Brandon Garcia and Paul Sewald each got two hits to lead the Gaels over the Grizzlies.

Cody Collins and Chase LaComb each had two hits for Spring Valley.

Las Vegas 11, Valley 2 — At Las Vegas, Bryan Harper pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts and Felix Segovia cracked a two-run homer to lead the Wildcats past the Vikings.

Francisco Rodarte had two hits, including a double, and Marvin Campbell contributed two hits for Las Vegas.

Palo Verde 5, Shadow Ridge 4 — At Palo Verde, Troy de los Santos hit a two-out double in the bottom of the sixth to score Jordan Rattliff with the winning run.

Rattliff was 2-for-3 for the Panthers. Colton Simons, Bryce Pittsenbarger and Caleb Blaylock each hit a home run for Shadow Ridge.

Chaparral 16, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Chris Juneman pitched a three-hitter and hit a home run to lead the Cowboys to a five-inning win.

Chris Butler was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs for Chaparral.

Silverado 13, Liberty 3 — At Liberty, Chase Bradford went 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs and Kevin Rath went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs to lead the Skyhawks.

Rath allowed three hits and struck out 11, and teammate Jordan Keegan was 3-for-4 with a triple and three runs.

Sierra Vista 13, Western 2 — At Western, Chad Claus was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs as the Lions beat the Warriors in five innings.

Sierra Vista’s Andrew Garcia went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Bonanza 27, Clark 1 — At Clark, Ryan Pineda and Kris Bryant each hit a grand slam as the Bengals crushed the Chargers in five innings.

Bryant finished 4-for-4 with six RBIs and four runs and Pineda was 2-for-5 with five RBIs. Winning pitcher Kyle Mackey threw a four-hitter and went 4-for-5 with two RBIs.

Arbor View 26, Cheyenne 5 — At Cheyenne, Sean Reilly was 3-for-5 with five RBIs as the Aggies rolled to a five-inning win.

Michael Blazek went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs for the Aggies, and teammate Robbie Garvey was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.

Centennial 16, Mojave 0 — At Centennial, Trever Goff went 3-for-4 with four runs and two RBIs and Billy D’Arienzo went 2-for-3 with three RBIs as the Bulldogs ripped the Rattlers.

Coronado 36, Vo-Tech 2 — At Vo-Tech, starting pitcher Kyle Clarke pitched three perfect innings as the Cougars routed the Roadrunners.

Ty Wagonseller had two hits and scored five runs for the Cougars.
