Henderson golfer loses in semifinals of USGA mid-amateur

Henderson’s Kevin Marsh was defeated in the semifinals of the United States Golf Association’s Mid-Amateur Championship on Wednesday, losing 3 and 2 to Scott Harvey of Greensboro, N.C., at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.

Marsh, the 2005 mid-amateur champion, defeated Patrick Christovich of New Orleans in 19 holes to advance to the semifinals.

Harvey, the No. 1 seed, will face second-seeded Brad Nurski of St. Joseph, Mo., in Thursday’s 36-hole championship match.
