Hall of Famer Exber captures SNGA Summerlin Amateur title

Brady Exber, who was inducted into the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame in 2006, won the Southern Nevada Golf Association Summerlin Amateur Championship at Highland Falls Golf Club and Palm Valley Golf Club.

Exber finished at 1-over-par 145 to defeat Kenny Ebalo by three strokes. Charlie MacGruder finished third, four shots in back of Exber, who had a two-shot lead over Ebalo heading into Sunday’s final round.

In the senior division, Peter Dunlap shot 6-over 150 to come from behind and win by four strokes over Gary Carpendale, Steven Fink and Cyrus Whitney.

John Kelley won the super senior division with a 12-over 156. Frank Abbott was second, three shots back.
