Four named to Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame
The Class of 2015 for the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame has been announced, and this year’s enshrinees are Jerry Foltz, Doug Pool, Barbara Christensen and Voss Boreta.
The enshrinement ceremonies will be Oct. 16 at TPC Summerlin.
Foltz, who grew up in Southern Nevada and was a former member of the PGA Tour, currently works as one of the lead analysts for the Golf Channel.
Pool is a highly decorated amateur player who has won numerous tournaments, including three majors hosted by the Southern Nevada Golf Association.
Christensen is a longtime volunteer for various local golf events going back to the 1960s.
Boreta founded Las Vegas Golf and Tennis and also grew the mail order business for golf equipment.
Tickets for the banquet can be purchased at LasVegasGolfHOF.com. The inductees will participate in the Hall’s Pro-Am event June 29 at Cascata Golf Club, an event that is also open to the public. Details for the Pro-Am can be found on the website.
