Sports Betting Spotlight: Houston Texans season preview

The Review-Journal’s Matt Youmans, Las Vegas handicapper Kelly Stewart and Golden Nugget sports book director Tony Miller preview the Texans’ season in the 21st of a series of 32 NFL team videos:

  • Is Brock Osweiler the answer to the Texans’ quarterback quandary?
  • J.J. Watt, the league leader with 17½ sacks last season, had back surgery in July and is questionable to play in Week 1. Watt’s injury is a concern, but at least outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is finally showing signs of progress.
  • The Texans open the season as 4½-point home favorites over the Bears. In Week 3, they play a key game at New England, and the Patriots will be without suspended quarterback Tom Brady.
  • Houston, 9-7 and the AFC South champion last season, appears to be the team to beat in the division if the Colts continue to decline.
  • Over or Under 9 regular-season wins?
