The Review-Journal’s Matt Youmans, Las Vegas radio host Bernie Fratto and Golden Nugget sports book manager Aaron Kessler preview the Panthers’ season in the 27th of a series of 32 NFL team videos:
- Will the Panthers, who open at Denver on Thursday, feel the hangover from being Super Bowl losers? After a surprising 15-1 season, Carolina is projected by oddsmakers to win 10 or 11 games.
- Can Cam Newton do it again? He passed for 35 touchdowns and rushed for 10 during a year in which he was the league’s Most Valuable Player.
- The offense welcomes back wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, who missed last season with a knee injury. But the defense suffered a setback by losing Pro Bowl cornerback Josh Norman.
- Is coach Ron Rivera the real deal? It’s tough to argue with his recent results.
- Over or Under 10½ regular-season wins?
