Ex-UNLV star Anthony Bennett back on NBA trading block

Almost two years to the day of being selected No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft, former UNLV star Anthony Bennett is back on the trading block according to about a hundred Internet sources.

One may recall this was supposed to be the year Bennett blossomed after being traded from Cleveland to Minnesota in a three-way deal deal that involved Kevin Love, especially after the ex-Rebels big man got himself into shape last summer.

He averaged 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 57 games for Minnesota. His playing time was about 16 minutes per game. And this for a team that pretty much stinks.

One blogger wrote Monday why the Washington Wizards should acquire Bennett.

To which the first responder wrote: “Not no but Oh! HELL NO !!!”

Note there were capital letters and four exclamation points.

Here are a couple of pro basketball videos featuring Bennett. The first one shows him at the top of his game, with Cleveland, when he still was sort of round in the middle. The second one shows him somewhere below the top of his game, with Minnesota.
