Elmer, McHargue spark Shadow Ridge boys tennis to victory

Shadow Ridge’s Jeff Elmer and Stephen McHargue each were 3-0 in singles, and Jacob Trotter and Todd Corbett went 3-0 in doubles as the Mustangs defeated visiting Cimarron-Memorial 11-7 in boys tennis on Thursday.
Ben Sweeney and Dustin Larson went 2-0 in doubles for the Spartans.
At Palo Verde, Brandon Parker and Hadrien Saperstein both went 3-0 in singles as the Panthers defeated Bonanza, 15-3.
The doubles teams of Zach Wetterling and Spencer Aguiar, and David Nichols and Danny Oka each were 3-0 for Palo Verde.
At Green Valley, Eric Michael and Jason Cox went 2-0 in doubles, and Evan Song was 2-0 in singles as the Gators defeated Boulder City, 14-4.
At Spring Valley, the Grizzlies beat Durango, 11-7.
Scott McCreary and Christian Pate each went 3-0 in singles for the Trailblazers.
At Foothill, Marcus Romero was 3-0 in singles to lead Basic to a 14-4 victory over the Falcons.
At The Meadows, Anthony Waddle and Dustin Dresel went 2-1 in doubles to lead Centennial to a 10-8 victory over the Mustangs.
Jimmy Lovett was 3-0 in singles for The Meadows.
At Lorenzi Park, Adam Unger and Alex Silvestri went 3-0 in doubles to help Bishop Gorman to a 15-3 victory over Sierra Vista.
Andrew Raphaelson and Kyle Del Rosario each went 2-0 in singles for the Gaels.
At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers defeated Moapa Valley, 14-4.
Stan Breland and Josh Jones each went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Patrick Norman and Ishmail Gibson, and J.T. Washington and Matt Savage went 3-0 for the Pioneers.
At Chaparral, after being tied at 9-9, the Cowboys defeated Las Vegas 4-2 on a tiebreaker.
Tyler Vincent and Sean Phillipson, and Dylan Lawter and Justin Brunner both went 3-0 in doubles for the Cowboys.
Edgardo Ureta and D.J. Grassi both went 3-0 in singles for the Wildcats.
At Desert Pines, Joe Panuncialman was 3-0 as Valley defeated the Jaguars, 10-8.

At Western, Josh Chen went 3-0 and William Fang were 2-0 in singles as Clark was an 18-0 winner over the Warriors.

At Cheyenne, Petra Kovalcikova and Wendy Chavez each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Desert Shields past Mojave, 11-6.
Kristen Bachman and Nicole Santiwan went 2-0 in doubles for the Rattlers.
