Eldorado pitcher nets no-hitter vs. Chaparral

Eldorado pitcher Kari Hansen made the most of her first start of the season Wednesday.

Hansen fired a five-inning no-hitter, striking out six, to lead the Sundevils to an 11-0 home win over Chaparral.

Carina Gutierrez doubled, homered and drove in two runs for the Sundevils, and teammate Gabriella Trillo added a home run.

Las Vegas 7, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Jennifer Gliddon pitched a one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and no walks to lead the Wildcats over the Pioneers.

Chelsea Lewis went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run, and Tiffini Lucero had three runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases for Las Vegas.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Mandy Harmon pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts to lead the Mustangs past the Spartans.

Shadow Ridge scored two unearned runs in the fourth inning, then Vanessa Simmons secured the victory with a solo homer in the sixth.

Jennifer Liddell singled for Cimarron’s only hit.

Foothill 11, Del Sol 0 — At Foothill, Shantel Straily pitched four shutout innings to help the Falcons to the five-inning win over the Dragons.

Straily allowed two hits and struck out five.

Nicole Falline doubled and drove in three runs for Foothill.

Centennial 15, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Kristy Naugle went 4-for-4 with two runs and Teresa Healy was 3-for-4 with two triples to lead the Bulldogs to a five-inning win over the Aggies.

Centennial scored 10 runs in the top of the fifth.

Green Valley 11, Silverado 5 — At Silverado, Breanna Yard was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs to lead the Gators over the Skyhawks.

Lindsey Headley added two hits, two runs and two RBIs for Green Valley, which pulled away with a five-run fifth inning.

Liberty 11, Vo-Tech 1 — At Liberty, Kristina Foti went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four runs and two RBIs as the Patriots downed the Roadrunners in five innings.

Michelle Hall was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for Liberty, which led 5-0 after one inning.

Breanna English and Danielle Brock combined on a three-hitter, and English also homered.

Coronado 7, Basic 3 — At Coronado, Tristina Shibata pitched a complete game and went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Cougars past the Wolves.

Allie Amato was 2-for-3 with two runs and Berlynn Bagley tripled for Coronado.

Durango 12, Spring Valley 1 — At Durango, Jaexie Balilea hit a two-run homer and Chanel Radovicz went 2-for-3 with four RBIs as the Trailblazers beat the Grizzlies in five innings.

Randi Gilbert was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Durango, which scored 10 runs in the bottom of the third.

Clark 21, Western 1 — At Western, Elisa Dawson pitched a two-hitter and went 3-for-5 with four runs and an RBI as the Chargers routed the Warriors in five innings.

Taylor Holyoak was 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs and Jamie Kroposky was 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI for Clark.

Legacy 5, Palo Verde 3 — At Palo Verde, Briana Zamorano went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run and Christina Montoya was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI to lead the Longhorns over the Panthers.

Rancho 16, Desert Pines 6 — At Morgan Park, Jesslyn Bley went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs and two runs to help the Rams to a five-inning win over the Jaguars.

Amerissa Villamar was 2-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBIs for Rancho, which scored nine runs in the first.

Cheyenne 10, Mojave 5 — At Cheyenne, Stephanie Vacca doubled, tripled and drove in three runs to spark the Desert Shields past the Rattlers.

Katelyn Barnum was 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI for Cheyenne, and winning pitcher Alexis Galindo struck out 13.
