DEL SOL BLANKS GREEN VALLEY IN BOYS SOCCER

Fabian Melchor and Mario Orvalle each scored a second-half goal Wednesday to help Del Sol to a 2-0 victory over visiting Green Valley in boys soccer.

Eric Beil and Jose Ostorga each had an assist, and goalie Evan Fast got the shutout for the Dragons.

At Centennial, Dustin Westover scored three goals as the Bulldogs shut out Mojave 5-0.

Julio Figueroa had two assists for Centennial, which also got a goal and an assist from Kevin Rogge and a goal from Jacob Swanson. Tyler McAnich got the shutout for the Bulldogs.

At Foothill, the Falcons and Basic played to a 1-1 tie.

Anders Fahlgren scored for the Wolves, and Memo Morales had the goal for Foothill.

At Cheyenne, Frank Barnes and Geovany Martinez each had two goals and an assist to lead the Desert Shields past Arbor View 6-2.

Bernardo Barajas added a goal and two assists, and Victor Ramos also scored for Cheyenne.

Josh Lopez scored both of Arbor View’s goals.

At Cimarron-Memorial, Christian Rodriguez scored two goals to help Legacy rally for a 4-2 win over the Spartans.

Andrew Salazar and Franchezco Escobar also scored for the Longhorns, who trailed 2-1 at the half.

B.J. Carrera and Chad Rigler scored for Cimarron.

At Palo Verde, Max Garcia scored two goals to help Shadow Ridge hold off the Panthers 3-2.

Franco Yuber also scored for the Mustangs, who built a 3-1 second-half lead and then watched Palo Verde nearly score the tying goal on a shot that hit the crossbar.

Vincient Lara scored both goals for the Panthers.

At Tech, Edgar Belazguez’s seven saves allowed the Roadrunners to preserve a 1-1 tie with Coronado.

Luis Cabrera had Tech’s goal. Arthur Hakodyan scored for Coronado.

At Liberty, Rene Abrego and Gary Diego each scored twice in Silverado’s 4-1 win over the Patriots.
