David Branch becomes WSOF’s first middleweight champion

David Branch choked out Jesse Taylor 1:41 into the first round of the main event of the World Series of Fighting card at the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday night to become the organization’s first middleweight champion.

Also, Rick Glenn took the featherweight title from Georgi Karakhanyan when the ringside doctor decided Karakhanyan shouldn’t continue after the second round, and Jessica Aguilar retained the strawweight title with a unanimous decision over Emi Fujino.
