Chappell carries Legacy to narrow win

Legacy’s Walter Chappell scored 20 points, and the Longhorns took a 65-63 road win over Spring Valley on Friday.
The Grizzlies missed a shot at the buzzer that would have tied the game.
David Carroll led Spring Valley with 18 points.
• Coronado 71, Las Vegas 65 — At Coronado, Cory Ford had 19 points and 10 assists as the Cougars held off the Wildcats.
Christian Hatch had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Coronado. T.J. Knowles had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Las Vegas’ Tony Eackles scored a game-high 27 points.
• Mojave 57, Basic 45 — At Mojave, Darian Norris scored 19 points and Anthony Marshall 17 to carry the Rattlers past the Wolves.
• Durango 76, Cimarron-Memorial 62 — At Durango, Jamal Crook scored 20 of his game-high 28 points in the second half as the Trailblazers erased a seven-point halftime deficit.
Crook added 15 rebounds and four steals. Mike Cutright scored 28 for the Spartans.
• Sierra Vista 83, Shadow Ridge 52 — At Sierra Vista, Josh McLain and Marcus Brock scored 18 points each as the Lions cruised.
• Cheyenne 88, Silverado 60 — At Silverado, Elijah Johnson scored 28 points to lift Desert Shields.
Silverado’s Wade Collie had 20 points and 12 rebounds.
• Palo Verde 70, Liberty 64 — At Palo Verde, Aaron May led four Panthers in double figures with 15 points as they defeated the Patriots.
Milos Knezevic paced the Patriots with 16 points.
• Lone Peak (Utah) 79, Eldorado 42 — At Eldorado, four Lone Peak players scored in double figures. Mitrell Clark led the Sundevils with 14 points.
• Foothill 70, Galena 63 — At Reno, Earl Jones scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to help the Falcons overcome a 40-point effort by UNR-bound Luke Babbitt.
Foothill held Galena to two field goals in the final period and outscored the Grizzlies 31-16 in the quarter to erase an eight-point deficit.
• Bishop Gorman 65, Bishop Manogue 50 — At Reno, Quintin Dailey scored 17 points and Kylel Coleman 15 to key the Gaels. Jordan Hill had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
• Valley 73, Del Sol 60 — At Del Sol, Terrence Tatum scored 15 points, and all five Valley starters reached double figures.
Del Sol’s Damien Lujan had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
LAKE MEAD TOURNAMENT
• Lake Mead 61, Calvary Chapel 32 — At Lake Mead, Landon Littlefield scored 17 points as the host Eagles rolled.
• Lake Mead 58, Virgin Valley 35 — At Lake Mead, Demetrius Turner had 10 points to fuel the Eagles’ victory.
• Virgin Valley 54, Boulder City 52 — At Lake Mead, Skyler Laird scored 17 points to help the Bulldogs edge the Eagles.
• Boulder City 55, Calvary Chapel 44 — At Lake Mead, Jeremy Smith scored 16 points as the Eagles pulled away late.
• Pahrump Valley 50, Trinity 47 — At Lake Mead, Darius Dolly had 20 points for the Trojans.
• Trinity 61, Liberty Christian (Calif.) 57 — At Lake Mead, Devon Ross scored 22 points to carry Trinity.
• Pahrump Valley 44, Lincoln County 41 — At Lake Mead, Dolly had 16 points as the Trojans held on.
