Bullpen collapses in 51s’ 7-4 loss at El Paso

The El Paso Chihuahuas scored five runs in their final three at-bats and defeated the 51s 7-4 Thursday in a Pacific Coast League game in El Paso, Texas.

Las Vegas’ bullpen was touched for the five runs and eight hits and two walks in the three innings. John Church allowed three runs on three hits with two walks in the sixth, when El Paso extended its lead to 5-1.

The 51s, whose 34-20 record is the PCL’s best, got home runs from Josh Satin, Andrew Brown and Daniel Muno. Omar Quintanilla went 3-for-5 with two doubles.

Joel Carreno (1-2) took the loss, allowing two runs on six hits and four walks in five innings.

The four-game series concludes at 6:05 p.m. today. Las Vegas then returns to Cashman Field for four games against Reno and four against Fresno.
