7 Harlington Night – Claimed by Steve Miyadi off a good race last time out; has tactical speed to stalk the early pace.
2 Tuckers Point – Has shown slow, steady improvement since claimed by Jack Carava; got his payback winning last time out.
Long Shot – 5 Woodmans Luck
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Sky Mega – Did everything but win in a well meant career debut; the key will be how live some of the FTS will be.
10 Faringdon Circle – Floundered in career debut on grass; improved a lot last out when raced on the Santa Anita main track.
Long Shot – 7 Dancinthenightaway –
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
11 Bookwarm – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; Bob Baffert cull is more than capable of winning.
1 Setthebigboysfree – Taking a huge class drop to this bottom of the barrel; can save all the ground and try to rally late.
Long Shot – 12 Thesheetsguy
Race 4 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
5 Grachus the Hunter – Takes a significant class drop for this easier spot; great BC Juvy win for Kent Desormeaux and his brother Keith.
3 Pepmic – Bill Spawr remsins one of the best claiming trainers in SoCal; always pay attention to who he claims and where he spots them.
Long Shot – 7 Quality Plan
Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
5 Dortmund – FTS from the Bob Baffert barn; it halps plenty when you are good, lucky and get all official rulings in your favor.
9 Serbian Syclone – FTS from the Peter Miller barn must be respected; start of the Pick 6 with a carryover of more than $1.3-million.
Long Shot – 8 Big Hat Charlie
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
12 Callback – Banking on the hope Bob Baffert still has his lucky rabbit’s foot in place; FTS with his main man Martin Garcia up.
10 Make the Sun Shine – Three straight seconds is either a sign of talent or a lack of killer instinct; Corey Nakatani for the win.
Long Shot – 8 Illuminant
Race 7 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Hugh Knew – Claimed by Eddie Truman and turned in a good second first time out; not sure what tactics she will use tonight.
1 Q’Viva – Good to see Joel Rosario sticking around day after BC; should sit a decent trip and seek room turning for home.
Long Shot – 3 Rockin Girl
Race 8 – 7 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Lemon de Oro – Looks like 7-furlongs should hit her right between the eyes; dead late closer gets an extra furlong to work with.
1 Global Hottie – Bob Baffert could have a big day, as if yesterday’s BC Classic wasn’t enough; this filly has a high ceiling.
Long Shot – 12 Classy Ava
Race 9 – 1 mile (turf), $200,000 Goldikova, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Filimbi – Saving ground is much more important on turf that on dirt; Joel Rosario picks up live mounts right back.
4 Strathnaver – Graham Motion is gaining momentum as one of the best trainers in the sport; this mare won’t sneak up on anyone.
Long Shot – 6 I’m Already Sexy
Race 10 – 7 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
11 Alfa Bird – The thing about being outside is you have more options as a jockey; Joe Talamo is the nuts in the last race on the card.
1 Cautious Giant – Just missed last time in first race in a year; moves from outside to inside which may be a negative.
