Sports Betting Spotlight: NFL Week 10

Matt Youmans, Kelly Stewart and Golden Nugget sports book director Tony Miller preview the college football and NFL weekend by offering 12 plays:

Matt Youmans, Review-Journal:

Last week: 4-0

Season: 28-8

  • Notre Dame (+2.5) over ARIZONA STATE
  • Ohio State (+3.5) over MICHIGAN STATE
  • UNLV (+6) over Air Force
  • Best Bet: SAINTS (-5) over 49ers

“This opinion is getting too popular, but it’s time to fade the 49ers because of their problems on and off the field. The Saints are hitting a groove offensively with tight end Jimmy Graham healthy and Mark Ingram igniting the running attack. Saints coach Sean Payton is 20-0 straight up and on an 18-1-1 spread run at the Superdome.”

Kelly Stewart, @kellyinvegas:

Last week: 1-3

Season: 15-12-1

  • LOUISIANA STATE (+6.5) over Alabama
  • UTAH (+8.5) over Oregon
  • Kansas State (+6) over TEXAS CHRISTIAN
  • Best Bet: Broncos (-11.5) over RAIDERS

“After their blowout loss at New England, expect the Broncos to bounce back with their best effort. Peyton Manning said he stunk last week, so Manning will be sharp this week. The Raiders covered in their loss at Seattle, but they trailed 24-3 at halftime and the game was not close until the Seahawks let up with a big lead.”

Tony Miller, Golden Nugget:

Last week: 0-4

Season: 18-18

  • AUBURN (-21.5) over Texas A&M
  • Kansas State-TEXAS CHRISTIAN over 58
  • Steelers-JETS under 45.5
  • Best Bet: Panthers (+6) over EAGLES

“Mark Sanchez takes over at quarterback for the Eagles, and I don’t like Sanchez. He can’t throw, he can’t run and he’s not a leader. Philadelphia is laying too many points with Sanchez. The Panthers need to play better to stay in the race in the NFC South.”
