2 Distracting – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; Rafael Bejarano had his choice and lands here.
4 Pink Lollipops – Gets class relief from 3 tougher races for this; reunited with Joe Talamo who knows this filly.
Long Shot – 1 Coup de Coeur
Race 2 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $47,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
5 Irish Presence – Turf debut in last was in a rapid hillside sprint; should relish a much slower pace today on the stretch out.
9 Villano – Richard Mandella has a 3-horse uncoupled entry; Garrett Gomez had his choice and opted to ride this one.
Long Shot – 3 Wittgenstein
Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $47,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
4 Z Big Apple – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; this one is the choice of Rafael Bejarano.
1 Really Mr Greely – Would not be shocked if the longer odds Baffert colt won; how often have we seen that before?
Long Shot – 7 Russdiculous
Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $30,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Shezabigbroad – Rafael Bejarano must overcome a tough inside post; been away 7-months, but has shown good turf qualities.
9 Sean S – Tepid chalk in a very difficult heat; huge class drop is the reason for her popularity.
Long Shot – 5 Promiscuoussuances
Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds
1 Rich Kid – Flattered in last when Running On Residuals won next out; has improved in two starts since claimed by Jerry Hollendorfer.
2 Tummel – Tepid chalk in another open affair; claimed off a win by Julio Canani, slight improvement makes him even tougher.
Long Shot – 6 Idontrollonshabbos
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $50,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
1 Relentless Heat – Returns to turf where he has done some excellent running; owns 2 wins already down the hillside.
10 Candy’s Surprise – Like the parking lot post down the hillside turf course; he’s better on grass and synthetics.
Long Shot – 5 Blue Jay Attack
Race 7 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up
2 Hidden Blessing – Reunited with Rafael Bejarano who won on him two races ago; need not be much to beat this slowpoke group.
6 Mack’s Gold Bullet – This class is clearly his comfort level; Vann Belvoir is winless this meet, he can clearly smell one.
Long Shot – 5 Southern Style
Race 8 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), $100,000 Senator Ken Maddy, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Byrama – Like a horse that wins and runs a slower Beyer; has won both starts down the hillside turf course.
2 Teroda – Been rested since a poor try at Del Mar; note she is 4-for-4 in the money down the hillside turf course.
Long Shot -3 Broken Dreams
Race 9 – 1 mile, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
1 Marv – Like that Jeff Mullins takes over the training; his barn is on fire right now.
3 Givimaway – Logical chalk has finished in the money his last four starts; best stride will come late.
