2 Zees Chris – Second start off a 2-month hiatus; tactical speed to lead or follow close up.

Long Shot – 3 Almost a Lady

Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

1 Tribe – Was flattered when Big Bane Theory and Jules Journey won next out; switches from turf to synthetics.

5 In a Wine Tizzy – Chance to upset if he can return to his debut race two back; has shown good early speed.

Long Shot – 6 M Two Forty

Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, $100,000 Real Quiet, 2-year-olds

5 Simon Eyes – Won his MSW over synthetics at Keeneland; like that Wesley Ward thought enough to ship out west.

4 Carving – Logical chalk as Bob Baffert looks to leave the BC in his rear view mirror; speed to lead throughout.

Long Shot – 7 Avare

Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up

3 Madeoftherightstuf – Has won 2 of his last 3 starts; has early speed in this bottom level claimer.

5 Trumpet Player Jay – Been disappointing off the claim by Linda Mikus; this 7-yo is a lot better than that.

Long Shot – 11 Warren’s Concept

2 Slammer Time – Second start off a 2-month hiatus; was stuck behind a modest pace in last.

5 Donato – Speedball figures to show high cheese early; returns to his comfort level, this $25K class.

9 Besame Suances – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; switches from turf to synthetics.

15 Midnight Raven – Must draw in off the also eligible list; big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano and taking blinkers off.

Long Shot – 7 Lethal Intent

10 Fire With Fire – Gets class relief from two graded stakes for this; lesser foes can lead to the winner’s circle.

4 Causeithertz – Expect Bob Baffert to win races with a alacrity this meet; out of the great mare Megahertz.

Long Shot – 1 Smokey Lonesome

Race 8 – 7 furlongs, Purse $52,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds and up

2 Bank the Eight – No shame losing to Coil and Mensa Heat in last; those are stakes caliber horses, this one will rebound.

5 Close to the Edge – Won an easier stakes at Fairplex; nice race first off the claim by Victor Garcia.

4 Real Heat – Exits a state-bred stakes for this MSW; is reunited with Joe Talamo who likes to win the finale.
